Who Am I?
My name is Geoff and i’m the creator of this website. I live in Brisbane Australia and bought my first Air Fryer a few years ago. At the time of writing this, i’ve owned three different air fryers all of which have been the Philips brand. Unfortunately, here in Australia we don’t get a lot of choice for air fryer brands so I settled on the Philips brand.
I started off with the basic Viva model, then upgraded to the Philips XL model. When that eventually stopped working I bought a new one that was the exact same model (although it was white instead of black). While I can’t say i’ve tried other brands of air fryer, I can wholeheartedly recommend getting a Philips model as they are great air fryers.
What about the website?
Believe it or not, this website was created by accident. After I bought my first air fryer, I wanted to make a list of cooking times and temperatures so I didn’t have to remember them all. I thought of using a traditional pen and paper but realized that I’d have to keep looking for the paper when I needed it. It also wasn’t easily searchable. So I created a really crude website that I could easily update and search. At the time, I thought I’d marked the page as invisible to search engines (after all, it was only ever meant to be for me). After about 6 months, I started getting comments on the site. At first, I didn’t think too much of it, but as I was getting more and more comments, I realized that I have a bit of an untapped resource and I’ve been building up and improving the site ever since. The site isn’t perfect, but I hope to improve it over time.
What Are We About?
This website isn’t meant to be a traditional recipe website. It’s primary objective is to provide air fryer cooking times and temperatures for common, and not so common foods. I get submissions from users of the site, so I don’t claim to have tested everything on the site, however, you should be able to use the ‘cooking time recipes’ as a guide when you cook in your own air fryer. Every air fryer brand is different so they will vary slightly from air fryer to air fryer. It’s safe to use the website as a guide though and adjust the timing/temperature slightly as required.
How can you help?
The air fryer community is growing daily as people discover the types of things you can cook in an air fryer. If you want to add something to the growing list of cooking times, please feel free to use the submission form on the site to give me the details. If the food item doesn’t exist, I’ll likely add it. Feel free to also comment on any of the recipe pages. If you’ve found something incorrect, or a better way of doing things, the visitors i’m sure would find it really helpful. Lastly, check back occasionally as I’ll add new foods over time.
I hope you find the site useful. If you have any suggestions, feel free to contact me as I’d love to hear from you.
