Are your cooking temperatures in fahrenheit or celsius?
Hi Cynthia. Cooking times are in celcius.
Fresh Cut Fries 30 Mins @ 180 Deg C Add 1 Tbsp oil
Thanks Steve
I have the power air fryer bought at walmarts 3.5 I would like to get a rack to put in it to cook steaks. Do you know where I could get one that would fit this fryer. Thanks
Amazon is where I got mine
Hamburger Pattie’s should be cooked how long Air Fryer ( Fahrenheit )
I do not understand the warm up period! How do you warm up the Air Fryer?
Hi Bernie. might depend on the machine but mine has a button that says warm up which goes on for 5 mins on 80 degrees celcius to warm the machine up and then I cook after that.
Just cooked 2 Coles brand Hoki frozen fish fillets, 3 min to pre-
heat, then 9 min at 200c. Got the machine yesterday, thought
I’d give it a go.
Just bought an air fryer, and would like to know if you can cook a frozen small chicken in it,
I’m not an expert since I’ve never done one but if the chicken can fit then I can’t see why not.
I would doubt it. Chicken will brown on outside before center even defrosts, let alone cook.
I’ve heard of people cooking an entire chicken so it must be doable. I haven’t tried it myself but I’m amazed at the types off foods cooked in an air fryer.
I seen a chicken cook in air fryer on you tube and a lot of other thing I just put cooking in air fryer in search
Ho Mai brand frozen spring roll come out very well. You buy frozen from Coles woollies. Not the tiny tiny ones, the ones that come in box of only spring roll (not mix of cocktail tiny yum Cha, just box of Spring roll) Ho Mai brand. They about 5 inch long. Preheat to 180. Cook frozen spling wolls for 7 min. Serve with sweet chilli and or plum dipping sauce. As good as Chinese west want.
Thanks Kim
Have just started using my Philips Airfryer , looks it bit more of the basic model than yours . First try was unsuccessful as tried cooking cod fillets in breadcrumbs but we’re not like the usual birds eye etc brands , came out looking insipid and tasteless . 2nd try Birdseye Hoki fillets and thin oven chips , very successful. Am today going to try a frozen salmon parcel for myself so keeping my fingers crossed , one question do I follow the temperature on the box or your meat pie one . Hope to hear from you soon . Carol Godwin
Hi Carol, Glad to hear your having some success.. I use my airfryer all the time and rarely have any food failures. The nice thing about the machine is you can open it multiple times during cooking to check up on the food and adjust the times if necessary. I use the times and temperatures on the box as a guide only. I would be inclined to use the temperature that the box says but keep an eye on the food so it’s not undercooked or overcooked. I rarely have problems because I constantly open the machine to check on it. I hope that helps.
Thanks I only wanted to get a guideline for reheating frozen/semi frozen pies, very helpful and I’ll be back for more advice, it’s all trial and error but pies are my first.
I think I tried a pie once.. but I can’t remember. Let me know how it went and if you want me to add it to the database let me know.
I see recipes for chicken but not for pork chops or steaks do you have any
I don’t make pork chops or steaks in the air fryer. I think they’d be too dry but maybe one day i’ll give it a try. The nice thing about the air fryer though is the ability to open the fryer while it’s cooking to check on it’s progress. It’s super easy to experiment.
If you come across ones you want to add to this page, i’ll be more than happy to potentially add them.
Geoff
My first effort was old shoulder pork chop from the freezer. It turnout one one the best chops I had ever had. It had a bit of crackling which was perfect. So, yes, they come come out very good!!
I’ve just got one, and have used twice, once SFC Chicken Chips, next Colonial Farm Chicken Schnitzels. Each time good but minor adjustments to either time or temp to perfect. I’m happy to contribute end results and hope this page keeps building. BTW: My fryer instructions mention nothing about pre-heating (I triple checked before first use)
Hi Phil,
By all means, if you have any to add let me know the details and I’ll be happy to add it. If possible provide a small thumbnail of the product but if you don’t have one I can just improvise with something.
As far as the pre-heating, I think it depends on which air fryer you buy. The Philips air fryer that I have has a button that pre-heats it. Everyone’s different air fryer may have slightly different cooking times I would think.. especially if you have no pre-heat option. Pre-heating isn’t always necessary, but the cooking times need to be taken as a guide only because everyone has a different fryer.
steak great in fryer… put on rack 230 celcius 10 mins……
remember its all around heat you are cooking both sides at once if on the rack shorter cooking times that way.
Chicken use Rotisserie should be fine
PS i have the 5 Star Chef Air Fryer 13L… i did a LOT of research before i bought this unit..used twice..
Rump Steak on Rack high position 10 mins med rare AWESOME
Sausages on Rack inverted so low position 10 mins maybe needs 1 or 2 more mins
maybe we should start a web page for guide and recipe exchange??

This is a data page for unit it has picks showing the extra appliances you can use with inbuilt Rotisserie i havent used this option yet but i think the barrel cage would suit chips and other small items instead of needing to shake
chicken breasts on rack high position 13 minutes
Thanks Russell, I’ve emailed you to find out the temperature before I add it to the database. :)
OK – this worked perfect. Coles brand, 12 Ham & Cheese Croquette. 195C, 5 mins shake then another 5 mins.
Thanks Phil,
I’ve added it to the page.
I recently tried out my Rotisserie i put some small prawns (defrosted and peeled) in the basket (see diagram) and put rank in as well in low position i placed two salmon fillets on rack and cooked all at 220 for 12 minutes… The Salmon was spot on but prawns a little dry but still tasted great with dipping sauce
Hi there – Thank you for this page, much appreciated :). Only new to my Phillips Air Fyer. Just cooked a Chiko-Roll & Chips & they were perfectly cooked thanks to you. Pressed cook for 3 mins (to pre-heat) then added Chiko-Roll & cooked for 3 mins, then added frozen chips & for cooked another 8 mins! I did pause half way through and shook. No mess, no fuss… Great! 200C
Has anyone tried frozen dim sims.
Just cooked 2 marathon spring rolls and 350 g chips followed Linda’s (Thankyou Linda) timing. Found my spring rolls cooked perfectly but I thought they could have been a little hotter so next time I will do
3 min warmup
4 min chicko rolls then add the chips for 8 mins.
Regards
Sue
Thanks to Cynthia for her question about temps at Fahrenheit or Celcius and to you for the answer. Now I know why my baked potatoes would not get done no matter how much time I added :-)
Thank you so much for this site. I am an eighty year old male cooking dunce who is just putting his shoulder to the cooking wheel. I have a small phillips fryer. I love it! This table of times and temps is a huge help. Good man!
Keep it up Bob! 67 here…working hard at low carb cooking. Pressure cooker, air fry. Baking low carb has been a disaster.
Pork chops are awesome. Just season, no flour, cook for 12 minutes at 360–very juicy.
Thanks Joan. I’ll add it to the database.
Crispy bacons take 10 mins only? It took me around 20mins. Can you give me any tips?
Hi Rebeca,
I’m guessing bacon will depend a bit on the type of bacon cut, thickness, etc. It probably also depends on the air fryer you have. Is yours a Philips like I have? They’re pretty good. The next time I have bacon I’ll double check and adjust as necessary but the nice thing about the air fryer is you can open it during cooking to check up on the food and adjust as necessary.
Thanks for taking the time to write this up. Just beginning to use my Air Fryer and so far so good. I did pork loin slices and they were wonderful – tender & juice! No breading, just seasoning. Appreciate confirmation that I can check on food cooking periodically. Tomorrow, chicken wings!
Hi Sally,
Thanks for the comment. Can I ask for the time and temperature and an idea of the qty cooked so I can add it to the database?
I cooked frozen dim sims for about 12 mins at 200 deg. They were fine.
Thanks Mary, I’ll be sure to add it to the database.
Does anyone use their fryer for baking bread?
I made some yesterday and it was not bad but I thought I’d ask around as well.
Thanks
anybody tell me how long and what temp for party pies please. My son loves them but wasn’t sure how long.
Thanks so much.
How informative and creative .Thanks for sharing..
How long would you cook Potato Gems for ? Your page is very helpful but was looking for gems. thanks so much
Hi Sheryl,
I would experiment by trying the same time and temp as the Coles Ham & Cheese Croquettes since they are roughly the same size and contain potato. Please let me know if you come up with the winning combination though and I’ll add it to the database.
I love my air fryer. Has anyone tried frozen breaded shrimp? I would appreciate any suggestions.
That is the first thing I prepared in my new XL air fryer. So perfect we had them again 3 days later. 330 F for 8 min.
Proper frozen chips, spray with oil, 180 deg C, 20 mins, toss after 10 mins to cook evenly.
Your online submission form does not seem to want to work for me.
Kangaroo Steak (marinated) 3 pieces 500 grams. Preheat Air Fryer 180 deg C. Cook 180 deg C for 8 minutes. Use basket for all over cooking. Looked dry on outside but still moist inside with largest piece still ‘pink’.
Thanks Diane
I’m not sure why the submission form doesn’t work for you I just tried it and it worked fine.
Thanks for the additions to the database. I’m not sure what images to use for them though. I’ll do a Google and see if I can find images that might closely resembles them although I can’t say I’ve ever tried cooking either of those. Thanks again.
Pumpkin (pepita) Seeds. I don’t even bother to wash, just remove as much membrane as possible. I drizzle with chilli and/or garlic oil. Season with herbs, whatever you like but I have been using Italian herbs a lot lately. Place in tray UNDER the basket to stop them flying around, especially as they dry out. 200 deg C for 6 – 8 minutes. Depends on size and volume, check, put on for further 2 – 3 minutes at a time. Great as a snack.
Hi Geoff, it was the unit of measurement ie, g (grams) and temperature that would not register. It would not let me proceed without those. Working at home on my Samsung tablet, so maybe an issue with that.
Hmmm.. interesting. I haven’t got a Samsung tablet to test with, but i’ve tested with my ipad and samsung Galaxy S5 and it seems to work. Oh well, I’ll try and investigate it a bit further if I can find someone else with a samsung tablet.
Thanks for the recipes though Diane. I’ll try and find time after work today or tomorrow to add them to the database.
best way to air fry diced chicken breast time and temp please anyone
cheers
Thank you so much for this handy list. I just got my airfryer and this will help me!!
Gorton’s Beer Battered Fish Fillet, 390 degrees Fahrenheit, nine minutes. Flip halfway. Use oil spray to limit sticking.

Russell
Hi Russell,
Thanks for the update. I’ve updated the Whole Chicken entry.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
i dropped the top half of my fryer
Smashed
Will have to save and buy it again :(
Bugger. Sorry to hear.
I would love to save this list to Pinterest for quick reference, as I want to use my Air Fryer more often. Is it possible?
Hi Chris,
I would prefer if you don’t post them on Pinterest as it will screw up my traffic and Google ranking. I’m glad you like the site though. Maybe just bookmark it ;)
Im in the USA a Brit ex pat for sausage rolls can you do uncooked in an air fryer as we can get frozen uk style uncooked ans also cooked fresh and frozen. Do you have times please and also for Scotch eggs fresh – cooking times
Hi Joyce
Unfortunately I don’t have the cooking times you seek. I’ve never made scotch eggs before let alone in the air fryer. I’m not sure what the sausage rolls you speak of look like but if they are anything like the ones in Australia then they should be fine in an Air Fryer.
The sausage rolls i’m thinking of are here. https://airfryer.cooking/cooking/sausage-roll/
Just bought our first Phillips Air Fryer and made some spring rolls. Very nice and fat free. I think it will travel in our motorhome with us. So easy…
Thank you for compiling the recipe you book, great stuff. It will definitely come in handy for us novices….
A Lot of sites coming along now but they are not as good as the original Keep it up Peeps.
Got a pork shoulder roast in rotisserie at the moment i am using the numbers from the Elk entry as a start ill put on the details when i am done
I was just looking through FAQ. The question about wax paper or foil ….. i just mention….. 1 Wax Paper has wax coating I dont believe it harmless i dont go around eating wax candles i would avoid putting into a heated area… 2. Foil well i have not yet found an ideal size tray to put into my fryer so i make a little tray by folding corners of foil and it sort of has a edge like a tray and it works well…
I hope this can be used to help answer the question
Doh, you’re right Russell, I thought wax paper is the same as Baking Paper but they aren’t. The FAQ should say baking paper. I’ll be sure to change it. Thanks for letting me know.
they are one in the same but the one side is covered in wax. read the side of the box
FAQ: How can i stop my air fryer smoking?
Buy it some nicotine patches..
Thats a joke for you Geff no need to post

How long and t what temperature would I cook a frozen veggie burger?
how long to cut scallops in air fryer?
can I cook Schwans frozen chicken strips in the air frywe and how do I do it?
I just used my Air Fryer for the first time and used your time and temp for Chicken Fingers and French Fries. They turned out great! I bookmarked your site and will be using it a lot! Thank you, Cynthia from South Dakota
Hi Cynthia,
Thanks for the comment. I’m glad the site is proving useful to you.
Geoff
deep frying frozen breaded shrimp in standard, oil based deep fryer usually takes about 3-3.5 minutes to get them just right (these are raw breaded and frozen) and in any standard air fryer takes around 9 minutes for the shrimp to cook through…
in a QSR setup this kind of time taken to cook items doesnt really work for the business… any ideas on whether air frying will ever make it as the tool of choice for a “healthier” deep fried QSr food item?
This info is amazing. Is it available in printable pdf? I would love to have the info handy rather than look up all the time. Thanks
Hi, Unfortunately a hard copy isn’t available at this time.
11/24/2018
;your cooking time data base is terrific. saved me buying a cooking book and having to buy
a complete set of spices. i made copies of what i wanted. that’s all i need. Thanks.
Is this website still active as I cannot get the Next button to work to see all 68 pages of cooking times? Will not move from page one.
Thanks
Tony
Hi Tony. It’s currently 68 recipes, not 68 pages. I wish I had 68 pages :)
Greetings from the US! What an awesome site! Huge help! I got one this week and experiment every day. I’m retired and cooking for one. SO nice not having to run a whole oven for a plate of fires/chips and some chicken nuggets. This thing is a time saver, a money saver, and an energy saver. I realize the machines differ, so I use your suggestions and just go a few minutes less on the times – better to add a few minutes to achieve success than go too long and wreck the food. Also I really appreciate the metric/US measurements being available.
Hi, i just got a milex air fryer oven, does this recipes also work for it, as i see it is different to my eiger air fryer
Hi Erica. If you preheat the airfryer before cooking, then they should work. Enjoy your new air fryer.
Great site I found it very helpful. Thanks so much.
A great idea for a website and very helpful. I have just bought an air fryer and had no idea of cooking times – now I do, thank you :)
