Pukka Pie
Why not have a Pukka Pie with Ketchup and some french fries cooked in the air fryerLight Crispy pastry and a hearty meat filling, who can resist a Pukka Pie. This is the UK equivalent of an aussie meat pie. Reheat at a lower temperature for longer to ensure you don't over brown the pastry and thoroughly cook the filling.

Any ideas for vegetables? Pumpkin chips come out OK and I was going to experiment with onions. Surely there must be others!!!!
If from the fridge, 12 mins is nowhere near long enough. More like 20 mins to get the inners over 73°C
I’ve always found zapping a pie in the microwave first, out of its foil case, then put back in the foil case and air frying in the Ninja works best for me.
I really disapprove of reheated pies where they are left in the aluminium trays- the pastry is rarely at it’s best and usually soggy.. It’s far better to remove the aluminium tray and heat without it- the pastry is far more appetising. You just have to be careful with that the base pastry doesn’t split or crack (but if it does leave it in the tray but fold the sides out of the way so they get properly heated. The base won’t be at its best but the pie will be much better than heating encased in aluminium).
I wholeheartedly agree.
Thanks evey one. These are Yorkshire hand made pies and are frozen when they come to you. The recipe books ive got dont do pies of any description. Ok
How the hell is a pie “American cuisine”. I’ve got underwear older than America. Pies have been around for thousands of years
Wrong times …200 airfry on 22 .minutes it’s the correct time
How long dose it take to cook two at the same time? I’m guessing 20mins same as cooking one.
Not sure mine I could only fit one pie on 165 for 12 mins.
To paraphrase PaulMcCartney: ‘live and let pie…’
I regularly cook Pukka pies in my Ninja. 150c for 18 mins. I check them with a meat thermometer for good measure and they are always cooked through. ????????
Pukka pies is British cusine, not American
Way back in 1960s Leicestershire, husband and wife team Trevor and Valerie Storer started making pies. In 1963, Trevor Storer’s Homemade Pies baked their very first pies. Understandably word of a good pie spreads fast, and the entrepreneurial pair sold over a thousand pies in the first week.
